After the opening reception of the international photography exhibit, “Empty Places: Abandoned Spaces” at Praxis Gallery, I learned that my submission, Game Over was awarded honorable mention. The exhibit was curated by the gallery staff and the juror was Robi Chakraborty. I’m aways thrilled to have work juried into an exhibit as it passes before the eyes of well-respected jurors. It’s a hard, time-consuming process deciding which image to enter into competition. When work is accepted into an exhibit I’m elated. Receiving an award is extra validation that a work withstands scrutiny by another professional. It feels mighty good!

The exhibit opened October 19 and is open through December 14, 2024. It includes 75 works by photographers from seven countries. To see all the work in the exhibit follow the link below and scroll down to the row of images.
